Enquiries and quotations

Website forms and AI conversations are requests for information, not orders, binding quotations or confirmed appointments. The business should provide a written quotation setting out the trader’s full legal identity, work, materials, total price including applicable taxes, exclusions, payment arrangements and proposed programme.

Before agreeing work

Confirm site access, preparation, waste removal, finishing details and responsibility for any required permission or building control approval. Variations should be agreed and recorded before extra work is carried out.

Consumer rights

Services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill. These website notes do not remove your statutory rights. Any commercial guarantee must be explained in the written agreement and is additional to those rights.

Cancellation

For many service contracts agreed at a distance or away from the trader’s premises, consumers have 14 days from the day after the contract is made to cancel. The applicable rules and exceptions depend on the contract. See the cancellation page and the written contract information provided to you.

Work should not start during an applicable cancellation period without the required express request. If you request an early start and then cancel, an appropriate charge for services already supplied may apply where the legal requirements have been met. Loss of cancellation rights on full performance requires the relevant prior acknowledgement. Limited exceptions can apply to specifically requested urgent repairs; they do not automatically cover additional work.
